On the beach at Skanes–Monastir, Tunisia. Registration opens on Thursday 27 May 2027 at 3 pm, and the festival closes on Thursday 3 June at 6 am — eight days and seven nights, and the 10th edition of Cuba in Tunisia.

Your full pass includes every activity in the programme, from workshops to live concerts, themed parties, the boat party (transport to and from the boat party is excluded) and the beach after-parties. It also covers your hotel room and full catering with drinks — selected alcoholic and soft — as per the hotel "all-inclusive" service hours. Pay the full pass and leave your bank card at home — just keep a little cash for the three small things it doesn't cover: the local tourist tax the hotel collects on arrival, festival merchandise, and beach-towel rental. Outside the "all-inclusive" service hours, you can purchase drinks and snacks at your own cost — cards and cash accepted.

The festival has daily activities from 11 am to 6 am — workshops (salsa, son, rumba, afro, reparto, reggaeton, afrobeat and Dominican bachata), daytime social parties, pool parties, the colour party and the boat party, and of course themed night parties, concerts and after-parties on the beach at sunrise. The festival programme will be released on our social media, and the official festival handbook has daily schedules with times for each activity.

The parties and socials happen outside, in the open air, on stone-tiled floors — and every evening there are two dedicated dance floors, one for Cuban salsa and one for Dominican bachata. Workshops happen in rooms with wooden floors, checked at the start and end of each day. Bring comfortable shoes; flip-flops are perfect for the pool parties, and heels are welcome too.

Four levels. All Levels is open to everyone, from first steps to professionals — instructors build the subject up gradually. Intermediate expects the core basics, with little time spent reviewing them. Advanced expects dedicated training in the subject, at a fast pace. Master is for dancers with years of experience — instructors go straight into high-level technique. PW next to a workshop means partner work. The detailed workshop schedule is published one week before the festival, so it stays accurate.

Bootcamps are intensive, accelerated workshops on a single subject, ending in a choreographed sequence that may be performed or recorded. You are welcome to join without appearing in the final show — just tell the instructor. The Versus Battle is one of CIT's most-loved traditions: instructors split into two teams, each prepares a choreography, you pick your side and learn it, and the familia decides which team wins.

The full pass — all-inclusive, with a bed in a double, triple or quadruple room at Shems Holiday Village, Monarque Club Rivage or Hotel Neptunia. If you would like a room to yourself, a Single Room Upgrade is available on top of a full pass in a double room — see "I am travelling alone" below. The Festival Pass Only, if you prefer to arrange your own accommodation elsewhere — it includes every festival activity, the boat party among them, but no accommodation and no catering. And for participants from selected countries, a flight and full pass package that includes your flights. The booking page specifies each pass and ticket type, with details of what is included and at which hotel.

Passes are released in batches with set early-bird prices. When one batch sells out, the next one costs a little more — that is the whole system, and it is why the Cuba in Tunisia familia books early. The full price is shown on the tickets page and at checkout before you confirm. Payment plans are available: a plan spreads the price, it never changes it — the price you book at is fixed for your booking.

Your pass appears in your CIT account the moment your first payment clears, and you get a confirmation email at the same time. The pass has a personal QR code which you will need to show on your phone or in printed form at registration, where you will be given a festival wristband to wear all week. Bring a photo ID — it will be checked against your pass. If after making the first payment you do not receive the pass by email or do not see it in your CIT account within 48 hours, check your email spam folder first, then raise a support request from your CIT account.

Yes, and most people do. Festival passes are personal, so while you can buy them for other people, you must add each attendee's personal details to their pass (full name, date of birth, email and phone number). Your CIT account is created for the order, and each participant can access their own pass by signing in with the email address on their ticket, which creates their own CIT account — there they see their own payments and balances, and each participant is responsible for their own instalments. Passes are personal: the name on the pass is what gives each attendee access to the festival.

Yes, but only once, and only until 30 April 2027. To change the name on the pass, raise a support request from your CIT account with the new participant's full details (name, date of birth, email, phone, country), settle any instalment already due on the pass, and pay the name-change fee: €50 for a full pass, €20 for a Festival Pass Only, €100 for a flight package. If the new participant is not entitled to the rate you booked at (a promotional offer, for instance), the difference is payable too. Once this is done, the pass and its CIT account — including anything still to pay — are transferred to the new participant, and your access ends at the same moment. After 30 April 2027, no more changes are possible.

The festival is designed for adults: participants must be 18 or over on the first day of the festival. One exception — a 16- or 17-year-old may attend if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who holds a pass, stays in the same room and remains responsible for them throughout the week; the parent or guardian books the minor's pass from their own CIT account. Children under 16 are not admitted. Alcohol is not served to anyone under 18, in line with Tunisian law.

All of them except the Festival Pass Only. Your accommodation is at the hotel specified on your pass — Shems Holiday Village, Monarque Club Rivage or Hotel Neptunia — in the room type you chose (double, triple or quadruple, with the Single Room Upgrade available on a double), with all-inclusive catering at that same hotel only. After you book, you can choose who you share with. Shems Holiday Village is the official festival hotel — it is the main venue, where every festival activity takes place. Monarque Club Rivage and Hotel Neptunia are the other two hotels. If you stay there, you have the "all-inclusive" services there (food and drinks) and come to Shems for the festival activities. Each pass specifies the hotel booked. Monarque Club Rivage is about a 10-minute walk from Shems, day and night — there is no shuttle between Rivage and Shems. Hotel Neptunia is 1.7 km away — a 20–25 minute walk on the road, or 15– 20 minutes along the beach. There is no daytime shuttle from Neptunia, but a free night shuttle runs between Neptunia and Shems once an hour, from about 10:30 pm to 6:30 am, every night of the festival (27 May to 6:30 am on 3 June).

Hotel check-in is from 3 pm. Festival registration and pass collection also open at 3 pm on 27 May 2027, at all three hotels. Hotel checkout is by 12 pm on departure day. Arriving earlier or leaving later? Add an extra night and the room is yours for the extra day — extra nights simply move either date. Full check-in instructions (where to go first, where to collect your wristband and room keys) are sent by email before the festival.

Yes — Tunisian hotels collect a small local tourist tax in cash when you arrive: 8 dinars per person per night at Shems and Neptunia, and 12 at Monarque Club Rivage (2026 rates — they are set by the hotels and may change for 2027). It is the one thing to have cash ready for on day one.

If you book a full pass with the Single Room Upgrade, you will not share your room with anyone. All other room types (double, triple, quadruple) mean you will be sharing your room with other people. To choose your own roommate, log into your CIT account and give the names of the people you want to share the room with. If your friend has not booked their festival pass yet, you can put their name down, but that does not reserve their bed — they still need to book their own pass while there is space in your hotel. If they do not book in time and the hotel is sold out, they will not be able to share with you. If you do not choose a roommate who is a festival attendee staying at the same hotel as you, we will pair you with another participant — this is how half of the CIT familia meets each other! A pass for "1 person in a double room" is one bed in a shared twin room; the same goes for triple and quadruple rooms. Roommate requests are honoured where possible but cannot be guaranteed.

Most solo travellers book a bed in a shared double, triple or quadruple room — it is how half the familia met each other. If you prefer your own space, book a full pass in a double room and then buy the Single Room Upgrade (€450): your double becomes a single for the whole week, and everything else in your pass stays the same. The upgrade can be purchased online — at booking or later from your CIT account — and is subject to availability, so book early: singles go first.

Yes — you can book extra nights before or after the festival as paid add-ons at your booked hotel. Extra nights are bookable per person and per room type via your CIT account: add them when making the booking, or later from your CIT account, choosing your exact dates. Each extra night is all-inclusive too: your room plus full catering, meals and drinks, as per the hotel "all-inclusive" service hours.

Tunisian law requires every hotel guest to be registered with the local authorities, and the hotel check-in form needs your passport number and nationality. Enter them into your CIT account; we delete the passport details 90 days after the festival ends. Bring the same ID to registration — this is how your festival pass is validated. No ID — no festival pass and no hotel accommodation.

Yes. At checkout you choose to pay in full, in 2 or in 4 instalments. The amount and date of each instalment are shown before you confirm your booking, in your confirmation email and on the Payments page in your CIT account. The first instalment is taken when you book; the last one falls at least three months before the festival, so by 27 February 2027. The rest is collected automatically from the card you booked with, and we email you a reminder three days before each collection — no bank transfers, no payment links, nothing to chase. If you book later in 2027, closer to the festival dates, paying in full is likely to be the only option available.

Sign in to your CIT account and open Payments. Every instalment you have paid, everything outstanding, and the date of the next automatic collection are all shown there. You can also pay any upcoming instalment early, whenever it suits you. If the card you made the initial payment with is expiring or has been replaced, please update the details in the Payments section of your CIT account.

No. Payments are taken automatically from your card and recorded in your CIT account the moment they clear, with a receipt sent to you by email each time. We do not accept bank transfers, and we never send payment links or bank details by email or message. The only exception would be if the platform were ever unavailable, in which case we would announce another way to pay on www.cit-festival.com and confirm it from info@cit-festival.com. Any message asking you to pay outside your CIT account is not from us — please let us know if you receive one.

If your card is declined — expired, blocked, or short of funds — we email you straight away and your pass is not automatically cancelled. You have 7 days from the scheduled date to update your card or pay the instalment manually on the Payments page in your CIT account, and the instalment plan carries on as before. If it is still unpaid after those 7 days, the booking may be cancelled and the amounts already paid are not refunded. If you think an instalment due date is going to be an issue, reach out to us in advance.

Every payment generates an automated receipt, which is emailed to you and stored under Payments in your CIT account. The payment may appear on your bank statement under our payment provider's name rather than "Cuba in Tunisia".

No — payments for CIT27 passes are non-refundable: the first payment and any subsequent instalments are non-refundable if you cancel or cannot come, whatever the reason — visa refusals and illness included. You can cancel your festival pass from your CIT account at any time: this releases your place at the festival and stops any instalments not yet due, but there is no refund for payments already made. An alternative is to give your pass to somebody else and pay the name-change fee; they then become responsible for any outstanding instalments. The name change is possible only until 30 April 2027. We strongly recommend buying travel insurance covering cancellation, travel disruption and health-related incidents when you book your festival pass.

If we cancel CIT27, everything you have paid for your pass and add-ons is refunded to the card you paid with, within 30 days. If the festival is postponed rather than cancelled, your pass and your payment plan simply carry on with the new dates. There will not be refunds from us for anything you booked independently — flights not bought from us, other travel or accommodation. We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance.

Monastir Habib Bourguiba (MIR) is the closest, about 15 minutes from the hotels. Enfidha (NBE), mostly served by low-cost airlines, is around 1 h 15. Tunis-Carthage (TUN) is the country's main hub with the major airlines, but the furthest — about 2 h 30. Shuttles run from all three: add the shuttle to your order, give us your flights, and somebody will be waiting with your name. The Shuttle Pass is an optional extra covering your transfers both ways — airport to hotel when you land, hotel to airport when you leave. It also includes transport to and from the boat party. Buy it when you make your festival booking, or add it later from your CIT account. Enter your flight details and airport at the time of booking, and update them at least 72 hours before you fly if anything changes. The airport shuttle is a shared service with set pickup times — you may need to wait at the airport until other participants on the same scheduled shuttle have arrived. Your indicative pickup time and meeting point are shown in your CIT account, under My Stay. If you miss your pickup from the airport or the hotel, you will not be able to take the next shuttle — please make sure to arrive on time.

Full pass and flight packages are available from selected countries — currently Poland, Slovenia, Czechia, Lithuania, Bulgaria and Serbia. You bundle a round-trip charter flight with your all-inclusive pass, while seats last. Your flight itinerary and baggage rules are sent to you by email and available in your CIT account at the latest three weeks before departure. If your country is not listed, book your own flights to any of the three airports.

Most European passports do not need a visa for a stay this short. If yours does, request an invitation letter from your CIT account and we will issue one within 5 working days. The invitation letter includes your official hotel confirmation — hotel name, address and your booking dates. Important: apply early, as some embassies take weeks to process visa applications. Your CIT27 festival pass is non-refundable even if a visa is refused.

The local currency is the Tunisian Dinar (TND). There is an ATM on site, and you can convert currency at the hotel. Day to day you won't need much — the pass covers your accommodation, meals, snacks and drinks (as per the "all-inclusive" service hours) and activities. Cash is required for the tourist tax on arrival; festival merchandise is sold at the festival desk in dinars, cash and card accepted.

Mainly in the hotel lobby areas. If you want to be connected everywhere, pick up a local SIM or eSIM card at the airport when you land.

Beyond your favourite dancing shoes: sunscreen, mosquito repellent, any vitamins or medication you rely on, and a beach towel — the hotels rent them for a small fee if you'd rather travel light.

The festival closes at sunrise on Thursday 3 June — the adventure doesn't have to. Excursion days run from that Thursday to the Sunday, and detailed itineraries are published closer to the date. The Sahara Excursion is four days and three nights through the great Tunisian south: you check out of your festival hotel, and you can either keep your luggage in the luggage storage at your hotel or take it with you. You are brought back to your designated hotel. A Taste of Tunisia visits Kairouan, Mahdia and Tunis in daily trips from your festival hotel, returning each evening, and its price includes your all-inclusive stay at your festival hotel for those nights. Both are bookable as add-ons from your CIT account, and places are limited. One practical tip: book your return flight for the day after your excursion ends.

Yes — add extra nights at the festival hotels after (or before) the festival, per person and per room type. They are all-inclusive too — room and full catering as per the hotel "all-inclusive" service hours.

One of the festival week's signature moments: the familia at sea, in groups across the early afternoon, before the evening programme carries on as usual. The boat party itself is included in every pass, and it appears in the programme with your group's time. Transport to and from the boat departure point is not included in the festival pass: it is covered by the Shuttle Pass — the optional extra that also provides your airport transfers — or you can arrange your own transport. The boat party is subject to weather conditions and maritime authorities' decisions. If weather conditions require a cancellation of the boat trip, no refunds will be issued.
