The Event: Festival Cuba In Tunisia 2027 ("CIT27"), 27 May – 3 June 2027, Skanes–Monastir, Tunisia.
The Organiser: CIT EVENTS LTD, Apartment 37, 98 Tennant Street, Birmingham B15 1BS, United Kingdom ("we", "us", "our").
The Participant: any person who books, holds a pass for, or attends The Event ("you", "your").
The Booking Platform: the official booking and account system at cit-festival.com, including your personal account, the checkout and the Payments and My stay pages.
These terms and conditions govern your booking, attendance and participation in The Event. By booking a pass on the Booking Platform, or by paying any amount towards one, you accept these terms, which form a contract between you and The Organiser. If you book on behalf of another person, you confirm that you have made these terms available to them and that they accept them; each pass holder is a Participant in their own right and receives their own account. The version of these terms published on the Booking Platform at the time of your booking applies to your booking. If we make a material change to these terms, we will notify pass holders by email.
Book online through the Booking Platform only. Passes bought from any other source are not recognised and may be refused at entry. Bookings are subject to availability, and a place is only secured once your first payment has been received. During checkout, the passes in your basket are held for a limited time shown on screen; if checkout is not completed in that time, the basket is released.
An account is created for every pass holder at booking, using the email address entered for that person. Your account is where you find your pass, your Payment Plan and receipts (Payments), your hotel, room and roommates (My stay), your travel details, and where you contact us (support request). You are responsible for keeping your login details safe and your contact details up to date; notices sent to the email address on your account are deemed received.
Your booking is confirmed when your first payment is received. A confirmation email is sent to the address given at booking, and your pass appears in your account at the same time. If the confirmation has not arrived within 48 hours, check your spam folder and then raise a support request from your account on the Booking Platform.
Passes are released in price batches. When a batch sells out, the next batch is offered at a higher price. The full price of your pass is displayed on the tickets page and at checkout before you book, whichever Payment Plan you choose; a Payment Plan spreads the price, it does not change it. The full price in force at the moment of your booking is fixed for your booking. Prices include the services listed for your pass; they do not include travel to Tunisia (unless you buy a Flight Package), visas, insurance or Add-ons.
A promo code is applied at checkout, one code per order, and cannot be combined with any other offer or discounted rate. A discount applies to the person named on the pass at booking. If the pass is later transferred to a person who is not entitled to that discount, the difference is payable before the transfer is processed.
Every pass is personal and carries the holder's full name, date of birth, email address and phone number, which must be accurate. If you book for other people, enter each person's own details: each of them receives their own pass and their own account, sees their own balance there and is responsible for their own payments. Identity may be checked against your pass at the entrance to The Event.
We may refuse or cancel a booking made in breach of these terms, made with false details, or made for commercial resale. Passes may not be resold above face value or used for any commercial purpose without our written consent.
At checkout you choose to pay in full, in two instalments or in four instalments, as offered for your pass on the date you book. The amount and date of every instalment are shown at checkout before you confirm, in your confirmation email and on the Payments page of your account. The first instalment is taken at booking; the last instalment falls no later than three months before The Event. The Payment Plans available depend on how far ahead of The Event you book: close to The Event, payment in full may be the only option.
Instalments are collected automatically, on their scheduled dates, from the card used for your booking — there are no payment links to wait for and no bank transfers to make. We send you a reminder by email three days before each collection date, and a receipt after each payment. You must keep a valid card on file for the whole of your Payment Plan: if your card expires or is replaced, update it on the Payments page, where you can also pay any upcoming instalment early and see everything paid and everything still due.
All payments are made through the Booking Platform. We do not accept bank transfers and we do not send payment links or bank details by email or messaging. The only exception is if the Booking Platform is temporarily unavailable: in that case we may offer another way to pay, announced on cit-festival.com and confirmed to you from our official address, info@cit-festival.com, never as an unsolicited message. Any other request to pay for your pass outside the Booking Platform should be treated as fraudulent and reported to us.
If an instalment cannot be collected — for example because the card has expired, is blocked or has insufficient funds — we tell you by email straight away. Your pass is not cancelled at that moment: you have 7 days from the scheduled date to update your card or pay the instalment manually on the Payments page. If the amount is still unpaid 7 days after the scheduled date, we may cancel the booking; amounts already paid are then dealt with under clause 4. If a payment date is going to be a problem, contact us from your account before it passes, not after.
Every payment generates a receipt, emailed to you and stored on your Payments page. Your bank statement may show the charge under the name of our payment provider rather than the name of the festival.
All payments towards The Event — first payments, instalments, balances and fees — are non-refundable if you cancel or do not attend, whatever the reason, including illness, visa refusal, travel disruption or a change in personal circumstances. You may cancel from your account at any time: cancelling releases your place and stops the collection of any instalments not yet due, but amounts already paid are not returned. We therefore recommend that you take out travel insurance covering cancellation when you book.
Instead of cancelling, you can transfer your pass to another person under clause 5 until 1 May 2027. Nothing in this clause affects your statutory rights, including your rights under clause 6 if we cancel The Event.
If you cannot attend, you may transfer your pass to another person once, at any time until 1 May 2027. To transfer a pass: open a support request from your account, provide the new holder's full details (name, date of birth, email address, phone number and country), settle any instalment already due on the pass, and pay the name-change fee: €50 for a Full Pass, €20 for a Festival Pass Only, €100 for a Flight Package. If the new holder is not entitled to the rate or discount you booked at, the difference is payable as well. Once the transfer is processed, the new holder takes over the pass, its account, any remaining Payment Plan and these terms; your access ends at the same moment. After 1 May 2027 no transfers or name changes are possible, because participant details are passed to the hotels, carriers and the Tunisian authorities. Transfers of Flight Packages are also subject to the carrier's conditions and any airline fees.
If we cancel The Event, we will refund every amount you have paid us for your pass and Add-ons, to the card you paid with, within 30 days of the cancellation. We are not liable for costs you have booked independently of us, such as flights not bought from us, other travel or accommodation.
We are not liable for failure to perform caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, severe weather, epidemics or pandemics, governmental action or travel restrictions, fire, war, terrorist activity, civil commotion, strikes or utility failures. In such circumstances we may modify, postpone, relocate or cancel all or part of The Event. Where the law requires a refund it will be paid; otherwise our liability is limited to the amounts you have paid us. If The Event is postponed, your pass and your Payment Plan carry over to the new dates.
Festivals evolve. We may change the programme, artists, DJs, workshops, themes, timetables and other content of The Event, and we may move The Event to another venue, including a venue outside the resort area. Such changes are not a cancellation and do not entitle you to a refund. If we have to change the festival dates, or move you to accommodation of a lower category than the one you booked, we will tell you without delay and offer you an alternative of equivalent value; if you do not accept it, you may cancel and receive a refund of the amounts paid to us.
We may substitute your accommodation with a hotel of equivalent or higher category where this is operationally necessary; this is not a significant change and does not entitle you to a refund.
One bed in the room category you purchased (single occupancy, or a shared double, triple or quadruple room) at the Festival Hotel named on your pass, for seven nights / eight days, with the catering described in clause 9.
Your pass names your hotel. Shems Holiday Village is the official festival hotel: it is the Venue itself, where every festival activity takes place. Monarque Club Rivage and Hotel Neptunia are the other Festival Hotels — all-inclusive hotels near the Venue from which you attend every festival activity at Shems Holiday Village. Monarque Club Rivage is approximately five minutes on foot from the Venue; there is no shuttle between the two. Hotel Neptunia is approximately 1.7 km from the Venue (20–25 minutes on foot, 15–20 minutes along the beach), and a free night shuttle runs between the hotel and the Venue every hour from approximately 22:30 to 06:30 on every festival night (27 May – 2 June 2027). Outside those shuttle hours, travel between your hotel and the Venue is your own responsibility.
A pass for "1 person in a double room" is one bed in a shared twin room (double occupancy), not a private room; the same applies to triple and quadruple rooms. If your hotel is Shems Holiday Village, you choose your room on the My stay floor plan in your account and name the people you want to share with. If your hotel is Monarque Club Rivage or Hotel Neptunia, you name the people you want to share with in My stay and the room itself is allocated by the hotel at check-in. In every case, roommate requests are accommodated where possible but cannot be guaranteed, and naming a person who has not booked does not reserve a bed for them. If you do not name roommates, you authorise us to assign roommates at our discretion according to availability and operational needs. Single occupancy and room upgrades are subject to availability and an additional charge; ask us from your account.
Rooms are available from 15:00 on your first day and must be vacated by 12:00 on your departure day. Extra Nights, where offered, extend your stay by whole nights at a Festival Hotel at the price published when you book them; the exact dates are chosen when you add them to your order or later from your account.
Tunisian law requires every hotel guest to be registered with the local authorities. You must provide your passport details for this purpose in your account; clause 15 explains how long we keep them. You must comply with the hotel's rules, and you are liable for any damage you cause to hotel or festival property.
A Festival Pass Only gives access to The Event and every activity in the official programme, including the boat party, but includes no accommodation and no catering. Holders arrange their own accommodation and are responsible for their own travel to and from the Venue.
Full Pass catering is provided on an all-inclusive basis at the Festival Hotel named on your pass: meals, snacks and selected alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages under the hotel's all-inclusive formula, during the hours and at the outlets that formula covers, and subject to the hotel's house rules; outside the all-inclusive hours, anything you order is at your own cost. If you have a medical dietary need or a serious allergy, tell us from your account as soon as you book so that we can raise it with the hotel kitchens; we cannot guarantee allergen-free preparation and you remain responsible for checking food before eating.
The Shuttle Pass, where offered, is an optional paid service covering your transfer from the airport to your hotel on arrival and back on departure, plus transport to and from the boat party. Enter your flight details when you buy it or later in your account; if your flight changes, update the details at least 72 hours before you fly. Pick-up times and meeting points are shown in your account. The Shuttle Pass is distinct from the free Neptunia night shuttle described in clause 7.2.
The boat party is included in every pass at no additional cost. Transport to and from the boat departure point is not included in your pass; it is covered by the Shuttle Pass. The boat party takes place at sea and depends on the weather, maritime regulations and the approval of the maritime authorities. If it is cancelled, shortened, delayed or modified for such reasons, no refund, credit or replacement activity is owed.
Excursions and Extra Nights, where offered, are optional paid services whose dates, content and conditions are stated on the Booking Platform at purchase. Excursions run around the festival programme; check their dates against your return flight before booking. Add-ons follow the same payment and refund rules as your pass.
Flight Packages combine a Full Pass with a round-trip charter flight from the listed departure countries. Flight details, including the itinerary and baggage rules, are sent to your account and by email at the latest three weeks before departure. Flights are operated by third-party carriers under their conditions of carriage; we remain responsible for the travel services included in your Flight Package to the extent provided by law.
Entry to The Event requires a valid pass. Your pass carries a personal QR code, available in your account and by email; show it on your phone or printed at the entrance, where it is exchanged for a wristband that must be worn throughout The Event. Photo ID may be checked against your pass.
The Event is designed for adults. Participants must be 18 or over on the first day of The Event, with one exception: a 16- or 17-year-old may attend if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who holds a pass, stays in the same room and remains responsible for them throughout The Event; the parent or guardian books the minor's pass from their own account and confirms their consent at booking. Children under 16 are not admitted. Alcohol is not served to anyone under 18, in accordance with Tunisian law, and evening events may be restricted for minors at the discretion of the festival or the hotel.
CIT is a familia: we expect respectful behaviour towards every participant, artist, staff member and hotel guest, on and off the dance floor. Harassment of any kind — including unwelcome physical contact, persistent unwanted attention and discriminatory behaviour — is not tolerated, and a dance invitation may always be declined. We may refuse entry to, or remove from The Event, without refund, any person whose behaviour endangers others, disrupts The Event, breaches these terms or the hotel's rules, or hinders other participants' enjoyment of The Event. Illegal substances are prohibited; alcohol service follows the hotel's rules and Tunisian law.
Dancing and festival activities are physical. You confirm that you are fit to take part, you take part at your own risk, and you will follow safety instructions from staff, instructors and crew. You are responsible for holding valid travel documents and any visa you need; because bookings are non-refundable (clause 4), apply for your visa early. If you need an invitation letter for a visa application, request it from your account. Travel insurance is your own responsibility; see clause 4.
The Event is filmed and photographed. By attending, you grant The Organiser and its partners the right to record your image, likeness and voice in photos, video and audio captured at The Event, and to use, edit and distribute such media worldwide, in any format now known or later developed, for the promotion of The Event and future editions, without payment or further approval. If you have a serious reason not to appear in published media, contact us from your account before The Event and we will take reasonable steps to accommodate it.
We process your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy on the Booking Platform and in accordance with applicable data-protection law, including UK GDPR. In summary: your booking data (name, date of birth, contact details, nationality) is used to administer your booking, your account and The Event; it is shared with our payment provider, the Festival Hotels, carriers and, where required by Tunisian law, the authorities for hotel registration. Passport scans collected for registration are deleted 90 days after The Event ends. Payment card data is handled by our payment provider and is never stored by us. We contact you about your booking and, with your consent or as otherwise permitted by law, about future editions; you can opt out of marketing at any time. We do not publish or circulate lists of participants.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence. Subject to that: we are responsible for the travel services included in a package booking to the extent provided by law, whether performed by us or by our suppliers; we are not liable for loss or theft of, or damage to, personal belongings — use your room safe; we are not liable for services you buy directly from third parties, including flights and travel not bought from us; and we accept no liability if you are unable to attend because of adverse weather or travel disruption affecting your own journey.
If something is wrong during The Event, tell the festival team or the hotel reception immediately so that it can be put right on the spot. Unresolved complaints should be sent from your account within 28 days of the end of The Event, with details and any evidence. We acknowledge complaints within 5 business days and aim to reply substantively within 15 business days. After The Event we may email you a short feedback survey; completing it is voluntary and helps us improve future editions.
If any provision of these terms is found invalid, the remainder continues in force. These terms, together with your booking confirmation and the information published on the Booking Platform at the time of booking, form the entire agreement for your attendance. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales; if you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep any protection granted by the mandatory rules of your country of residence.
